The Role As the Associate Director, Careers & Employability, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the employability journey of our students.
Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Student Success, you will lead a dedicated team in delivering innovative career education, work-integrated learning programs, and student employment initiatives that prepare graduates for meaningful careers in an evolving global workforce.
Your Key Responsibilities Lead the Careers and Employability team to deliver strategic, data-driven, and industry-aligned career services.
Foster partnerships across academic Schools, alumni networks, and industry to embed career development into the student experience.
Provide expert advice on career education, employability trends, and workforce readiness to inform university-wide strategies.
Oversee the design and implementation of programs, systems, and technologies that enhance student outcomes and operational efficiency.
Champion a collaborative approach with stakeholders to ensure an integrated and seamless student journey from enrolment to employment.
Drive governance, compliance, and strategic reporting for career and employability initiatives.
About You To excel in this role, you will bring: A postgraduate qualification or equivalent and demonstrated experience in career education, employability, or higher education.
Expertise in career development, with the ability to translate labour market trends into actionable strategies.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of fostering high-performing teams.
Proven experience in strategic planning, policy development, and the management of complex projects and budgets.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in leveraging technology and data analytics to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
