The Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated and talented Executive Officer to join the Operations Division and provide high-level support to the Senior Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer (SVPCOO). This is an exciting and varied role, where you will be at the centre of ensuring the smooth coordination of governance, communication, and strategic initiatives across the Division.
You will manage the flow of information and communications within the SVPCOO's Office and the broader University. You'll undertake research, prepare reports, and provide strategic advice to ensure the Division's priorities align with the University's overarching goals. Your role will involve managing workflows, supporting governance committees, and overseeing key projects from conception to completion. You'll also collaborate closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner to track budgets, provide financial insights, and identify cost efficiencies.
Relationships will be at the heart of your success. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, building trust and fostering collaboration. Your ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, deliver clear and concise communications, and manage competing priorities will be essential in achieving effective outcomes for the Division and the University.
About You We are looking for someone with a relevant undergraduate degree and significant progress toward a postgraduate qualification, or equivalent experience in a complex organisation. You will bring a proven ability to manage high workloads, competing priorities, and unexpected challenges with efficiency and composure. Your written and verbal communication skills will be exceptional, allowing you to prepare high-level documents and articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively. Analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to exercise sound judgment and confidentiality in your work.

Remuneration: Higher Education Worker Level 8 - $134,532 to $149,345 p.a. (comprising base salary of $113,681 to $126,198 p.a., plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).
