About the role School of Computer Data and Mathematical Sciences is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Business Analyst.
The Business Analyst will work closely with the School Manager and is responsible for providing high level data and information analysis, reporting and insights on the School's business processes.
The role will work with the School's Executive through provision of data and analytics to inform the School's strategic plan and business objectives.
This includes supporting business case development, auditing of data processes and procedures and supporting quality assurance.
About You The successful candidate will require a relevant degree or an equivalent combination of extensive professional experience, education/training, and achievement.
They must have extensive experience in business analysis, financial planning, and report production, along with a deep understanding of financial systems and processes.
Experience in managing Activity Based Costing solutions within the University sector, as well as strong business modelling and analytical skills, is essential.
High-level customer service skills are crucial, with the ability to effectively respond to client needs and expectations.
The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, capable of liaising professionally with staff at all levels and explaining accounting concepts to diverse audiences.
Well-developed organisational and analytical skills are necessary, including the ability to manage high volumes of information, prioritise tasks, solve problems, and ensure accurate, timely report production.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to develop macros, is required.
Applicants should be aware that this role will be based at Campbelltown campus, however as Western Sydney University is a multi-campus university travel to other campuses may be required when operational needs arise.
