WSUELL operates six services across various WSU campuses.
The Opportunity  We are excited to announce a new opportunity to join WSU Early Learning Ltd (WSUELL) as the Business Operation and Finance Leader.
This key role forms part of the senior leadership team and is responsible for the seamless operation and leadership of WSUELL's business administration and finance functions.
In this role you will be responsible for driving business and process improvements, leading standardisation across WSUELL to build on creating operational and cost efficiencies, working collaboratively with senior management to drive the business and strategic plan and providing high level support to the General Manager with various tasks as required.
You will work closely with GM, senior management, WSU Finance, auditors and the Office of People to manage business operations effectively and provide high-level support to the leadership team ensuring all Operational, Finance and WSU deliverables are met.
You will drive team leadership and development, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
You will develop WSUELL's financial budgets and forecasts, communicate changes in business dynamics, and maintain data in the University's Budgeting and Forecasting System which are essential to success of this role.
Additionally, you will prepare and analyse financial reports, manage the end-to-end process for all acquittals, and ensure compliance.
You will attend Board/Committee meetings, present financial information, and manage General Ledger Maintenance, asset management, and have oversight of purchase order processing.
You will also oversee financial aspects of the Childcare Management System, engage in business partnering and identify training needs.
This is a full-time, ongoing position based at Western's Hawkesbury Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required.

About You You are a strategic leader with proven ability to lead strategic and business direction and will hold a relevant accounting qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and training.
You excel in team leadership, fostering collaboration and high performance, and have a proven track record in building relationships with senior managers and key financial stakeholders.
Extensive experience with Child Care Management systems, financial systems, budgeting, and forecasting, along with a deep understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and practices, is essential.
Strong analytical skills help you manage complex financial scenarios effectively.
You communicate clearly and can simplify complex information for diverse audiences including producing detailed briefs.
