The School of Computer, Data and Mathematical Sciences is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Business Administrative Officer.
About the role The Business Administrative Officer works in collaboration with other professional staff to support the School Manager in the efficient operation of the School, by ensuring the provision of high-level administrative support across the School.
A key remit of the role involves supporting workforce and student-load planning to ensure the adequate provision of resources for future teaching sessions, including ensuring effective casual contract administration for the School's teaching.
Skills and Experiences The successful candidate will have: · A relevant qualification and/or equivalent professional administrative training and extensive experience in a large and complex organisation.
· Demonstrated experience in monitoring financial transactions and reconciling financial transactions against records.
· Well-developed organisation and planning skills including a proven ability to work in a supervisory capacity, monitor workflows, prioritise, meet deadlines and multi-task.
Applicants should be aware that this role will be based at Penrith campus, however as Western Sydney University is a multi-campus university travel to other campuses may be required when operational needs arise.
