Role Overview The plumber will play a key role in designing, installing, and maintaining a range of plumbing systems. This includes everything from water supply and drainage to gas piping and fire protection systems. Ideal candidates have experience with reading blueprints, ensuring compliance with regulations, and performing installations to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to accurately plan plumbing systems and determine required materials. Install both hot and cold water systems and any associated equipment. Set up and maintain water-based fire protection systems, such as fire hydrants, hose reels, and sprinkler systems. Design and install sanitary plumbing, water supply systems, discharge pipes, and sanitary fixtures. Fabricate and install soil and waste stacks. Assemble and install mechanical services, including air handling, conditioning equipment, and small-bore heating systems. Set up sewerage and effluent pumping equipment and manage disposal systems. Install and maintain below-ground drainage systems and ground support systems. Handle gas installations, including mains, piping systems, and fuel-related appliances. Fabricate and install metal roofing, rainwater goods, and flashings. Requirements Proven experience in plumbing installations and maintenance, ideally with a range of systems. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
