$97,689 p/a + superannuation + salary sacrifice Full-time - Fixed-term position About the role: We are currently seeking a full-time Recruitment, Training & Assessment Officer to join our Foster Care team in Emerald.
Our Recruitment, Training & Assessment Officer will complete thorough and complex initial assessments of potential foster carers to determine their capacity to meet the standards of care.
What will a typical day look like?
Deliver the Department of Communities Child Safety Services Quality Care Training package in accordance with Departmental and agency standards.
Design and coordinate training programs based on needs analysis coordinating the development of individual learning plans.
Review existing training programs and upgrade programs as required.
Assist program staff with advice regarding training methods and techniques Prepare and deliver relevant training programs to increase carer and staff knowledge and understanding of child protection and the associated impacts of trauma.
Develop and enhance recruitment strategies to increase the number of potential and approved Foster, Kinship and Intensive Carers Using analytical and investigative skills, to assess potential Carer risks Mandatory Requirements: Diploma in Community Services (Child Protection/Child Youth and Family Intervention) or equivalent with significant experience in a similar field.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willing to obtain, must commence within the probationary period).
