Indigeco Recruitment is supporting a major NFP in Canberra that provides advice and guidance to the Australian Government on policy and budget matters while advocating for community-developed health solutions that contribute to the quality of life and improved health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.This is a full-time onsite role located in Canberra CBD.Full Time, ACT Canberra, 6-month contract$80,000 - $90,000 per annum plus 15% superannuation plus NFP salary-packaging.About the role:The Recruitment and HR Officer will support the Senior HR Project Manager in undertaking several end-to-end recruitment processes and provide broader HR assistance as required. The Recruitment and HR Officer will use their creativity and knowledge of contemporary practices to create recruitment processes that attract quality candidates for vacancies within the Team.The position will be offered as a full-time, fixed-term contract for 6 months to undertake specific projects. There may be a possibility of further employment after the initial 6 months.About the candidate:You will bring a customer-service focus, well-developed administrative and coordination skills, and have a strong foundation of cultural competency, to meet our high standards of engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. You will be able to progress your work tasks with reasonable independence while working under broad supervision.Having prior recruitment experience will be highly regarded, but we will also consider applicants who can demonstrate transferable skills relevant to the role and an interest in transitioning to the field of recruitment and HR.Key Responsibilities:Manage the end-to-end recruitment life-cycle for general and bulk recruitment exercises.Provide a high level of administrative support, including planning, coordinating, and scheduling various recruitment activities.Prepare recruitment documents such as position descriptions, advertisements, and approval documents.Provide a high level of candidate care to all for recruitment processes.Support selection panels, which may include scribing, reference checks, and selection report writing as required.Give recruitment advice in line with internal policies and procedures.Demonstrate leadership through personal behaviour, and expectations of others' behaviour, to maintain our high standard of service delivery for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.Perform other duties as requested, consistent with the position.Key Requirements:Demonstrated administrative, organisational, and coordination skills.Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, paying attention to detail, style, language, and audience when drafting communications.Effective use of interpersonal skills to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.The ability to prioritise multiple activities to and to work independently under part-time supervision to progress time-sensitive projects.Highly developed cultural competency, a deep understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and communities, and a commitment to ongoing self-development of cultural competency.Qualifications in Human Resources or a relevant discipline will be well regarded.If this sounds like an interesting opportunity, then apply today with an updated CV.
