What does a day in recruitment look like? It's varied but busy, fast-paced and full-on. Depending on your role, you'll have a number of key responsibilities, including:
Sourcing, screening and selecting candidates for your clients' open job vacanciesManaging all aspects of the recruitment process and supporting your clients with hiring and onboardingManaging key accounts and helping to retain and grow that businessWinning new business by doing sales calls, attending meetings and networking online and in-personYour day will be jam-packed with making calls, conducting and arranging interviews, and going on client meetings - no two days are ever the same, and you'll need to be organised, efficient, self-motivated, and someone who enjoys working at pace and under pressure.
What are some of the challenges I'll face? Being a Recruitment Consultant is challenging:
There's a lot to learn, and it can often take time to see results - expect a steep learning curve and a year to get your head around thingsIt's a sales job, so there are fee targets and activity KPIs which you'll be expected to hit consistentlyAll day long, you're interacting with people – mostly on the phone but also in meetings and interviews - so you need lots of energy and enthusiasm, good interpersonal skills, and excellent communicationWorking with people can be challenging, so you'll need to be resilient, have a positive attitude, and possess good problem-solving skillsAnd finally, there are lots of different aspects to the role, so you'll need good time management, the ability to work at pace, and be comfortable spinning lots of plates!What kind of person makes a good recruiter? There's not just one type of person that makes a good recruiter, but ideally, I'm looking for people from:
Professional/B2B sales backgrounds or retail managementIndividuals that have done technical roles in industries like mining, engineering, or constructionGraduates that have completed technical degrees like Finance, Commerce, Engineering, or Psychology (and have some work experience)Individuals from Real Estate, Call Centres, or Insurance are also of interestAt the end of the day, it's really about your attitude, personality, and work ethic, as well as having a strong sense of drive and ambition, but these are the preferred backgrounds we're most interested in.

Please note that regrettably these roles cannot offer sponsorship (unless you have at least 12 months' recruitment agency experience from overseas - you will at least need to have valid work rights at this moment to be considered).
They are full-time, permanent opportunities, based in and around the Perth CBD/metro area.
In these roles, you'll earn a base salary and be entitled to commission/bonuses as you hit your targets and deliver results - which will grow over time as you get better at the job and build your candidate and client network.
