Our client is a state government agency seeking an AO5 Recruitment and HR Officer based in Brisbane to join their team immediately on contract with possible extensions! They will deliver new and upgraded venues for use before, during and long after the Games, monitor the delivery of villages and future-proof our liveability.
As their Recruitment and HR Officer, you will be responsible for end-to-end recruitment as well as support HR projects and HR admin support. This is a newly developed team so you may also be involved in onboarding, HR policies and processes, employee engagement, remuneration and more!
Your responsibilities will include:
Oversee high-volume, end-to-end recruitment processes (managed in-house) including coordinating interview schedules, providing advice on interview questions/methods.
Oversee external agency recruitment processes.
Develop role descriptions.
Administration of all related recruitment activity including accurate record keeping within an electronic recording keeping system.
Undertake procurement activities related to engagement of recruitment agencies.
Contribute to the development of recruitment guidelines and processes for HR processes.
Contribute to the investigation of recruitment platforms and related recommendations.
Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience:
Come from a talent acquisition or HR business partner background.
Strong experience in high-volume recruitment and selection, preferably across both private and public sectors, with the ability to understand and apply the Recruitment and Selection directive.
Generalist HR experience, including setting up HR practices.
Deliverables focused.
Highly organized with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Able to develop and drive own work.
Comfortable working in an ambiguous and complex environment.
Appreciates good governance.
Consultative approach.
