About the Role : Incredibly exciting opportunity to join our dynamic WHS team as a Recover at Work Specialist and the opportunity to work for a leading NFP organisation!
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for developing comprehensive return-to-work programs that align with organizational goals, enhance employee well-being, and drive productivity.
The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate recovery strategies into broader health and safety initiatives, ensuring a proactive and holistic approach to workplace health.
Responsibilities : Develop and implement individualised return-to-work plans for injured or ill employees. Coordinate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to facilitate the recovery process. Maintain accurate records of all cases and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company policies. Review every claim on receipt to understand the potential risks that can arise with that category of claim and implement mitigating strategies. Review claims monthly on progress and intervene where necessary to improve recovery outcomes. Meet and consult with managers and other stakeholders on the progress of claims and support required to facilitate and upgrade injured employees. Conduct training sessions and workshops on injury prevention and recovery at work processes. Consult with the WHS team to identify potential workplace hazards and implement preventative measures. Prepare and present reports on return-to-work outcomes and program effectiveness. Your skills, qualifications and experience should include : Empathy and understanding towards employees' health and recovery needs. Problem-solving skills to develop effective return-to-work strategies. Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and reporting. Bachelor's degree in an allied health discipline, human resources, or a related field. Certification in Return to Work Coordination. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a WHS or HR environment. Strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Strong organisational and time management skills. Experience using an injury management system (desirable).
