This is an essential position within the records team to ensure compliance with the State Records Act through specialist records management duties, while also supporting and collaborating with employees to empower them in records management to meet their legislative obligations.
Key Duties
• Provide specialist records management duties to meet the requirements and ensure compliance with State Records Act 2000.
• Understand and apply applicable legislation including the State Records Act
• Train and support employees in record keeping practices and EDRMS to meet their legislative requirements.
• Implement strategies and improvements for effective information and records management
• Collaborate with Business Units to identify and provide practical processes to improve records management.
• Knowledge of legislative obligations relating to records management
• Experience in maintenance of electronic document records management systems
• Experience in local or state government records management environment (desirable)
