We're looking for Records Management Support Officer to join our team.
Equivalent payrate $52+ p/h + super Located in Brisbane QLD About the role As a Record Management Support Officer, you will provide expert guidance and support to departmental customers in managing records and documents throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with Queensland Government legislation and departmental policies.
Provide professional support in records and document management activities, including mail, document scanning, file archiving, and disaster management.
Assist with implementing and maintaining records management policies, procedures, and systems in alignment with departmental standards and legislative requirements.
Respond promptly and accurately to requests for support via various communication channels (phone, online, email).
Collaborate with 1st level support officers, addressing escalated requests efficiently and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with Queensland State Archives records retention and disposal schedules.
Manage workloads effectively to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality, responsive client service.
Contribute to performance measurement frameworks and provide feedback to improve team service delivery.
Collaborate with team members and customers to provide updates on records management issues and resolutions.
Support senior Enterprise Information Services staff with additional administrative tasks as needed.
About You To thrive in this role, you need: Proven experience in records management, with a solid understanding of departmental policies, industry standards, and relevant legislation.
Ability to interpret records management legislation and apply retention and disposal schedules within the public sector.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide effective solutions to a diverse range of customers on first contact.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on professionalism and customer satisfaction.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team, adapting to dynamic environments.
Willingness to mentor and train other staff in records management practices.
Must have full working rights in Australia.
Be able to pass and hold national police check.
