The Role: As a Records Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining departmental records. We're seeking an experienced records professional who thrives in a structured environment, is detail-oriented, and possesses a strong understanding of records management systems, especially in electronic document and records management (EDRMS) platforms like Content Manager. This position will see you working closely with administrative and records management teams to ensure records are appraised, sentenced, and transferred with accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Records Appraisal & Transfer: Expertly appraise, sentence, and manage large volumes of physical records, ensuring all transfers meet departmental and Territory Records Office standards.Advisory Support: Provide accurate advice to administrative staff on identifying records for permanent retention and transfer in compliance with authorised schedules.Retention & Disposal: Interpret and apply retention and disposal schedules accurately, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.Project Coordination: Participate in records management projects, including preparing progress reports, identifying risks, liaising with records management staff, and supporting staff in preparing and disposing of records.System Expertise: Demonstrate high-level proficiency in records management systems (particularly EDRMS) to support efficient record-keeping and compliance.Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience in appraising, sentencing, and transferring departmental records.Skilled in providing clear, accurate advice on record identification and retention.Proficient in interpreting retention and disposal schedules.Hands-on experience with records management systems (EDRMS, such as Content Manager) and a solid understanding of records procedures.Strong project management skills, with the ability to identify risks and provide regular progress reports. #J-18808-Ljbffr
