We use our connections, our size, our scale, and our knowledge to push into places where we feel like we should be doing more.In addition to receiving a salary commencing at SCHADS Level 4 and superannuation, you'll also receive 17.5% leave loading and an ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits.Receive 10% discount on the childcare subsidy gap fee when using a Uniting Early Learning service or centre.About youYou are looking to join an organisation that truly supports vulnerable Victorians and Tasmanians to improve their lives.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare, or related discipline (essential)Experience in working with newly arrived individuals and communities and an understanding of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse individuals and communities.Demonstrated skills and experience in working with disempowered and vulnerable people through a newly arrived CALD lens, including:Capacity to engage clients and establish effective helping relationships.Undertake strength-based assessments, needs analysis, development of intervention plans and work with clients to bring about change, working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.Understanding of the issues involved in casework with children, young people, and families.Knowledge and experience of a range of relevant intervention strategies and frameworks including children's developmental needs, parent skill development, working with diversity, drug and alcohol recovery, the cycle of violence, crisis planning and family and broader systems.Demonstrated ability to provide effective case management to young people and their families using a range of interventions.Click here to view the Position Description.How to applyClick APPLY to submit your interest and we'll be in touch shortly.
