Reconciliation Officer(Job Number: 240001H2) Description About the role We are looking for a Reconciliation Officer to assist the Senior Financial Accountant in maintaining the integrity of RACQ Group's bank and general ledger clearing accounts through accurate and timely reconciliations.
You'll be responsible for analysing and reconciling large transaction volumes across various payment systems on a daily basis.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Performing daily reconciliation of the RACQ Group's bank accounts and branch transactions, ensuring timely resolution of any variances. Collaborating with internal finance departments and the wider RACQ Group to enhance understanding of financial accounting processes. Conducting data analysis on unreconciled deposits and system transactions, escalating issues as needed. Administering corporate credit cards, processing additions and cancellations while ensuring compliance with internal standards. Assisting with claims receipting inquiries and support RACQ customers with account statements and payment method queries. Performing monthly general ledger reconciliations and report on aged debtors, adhering to the Group Finance timetable. Please note this is a 12-month fixed term contract and the rate of pay at commencement will be $39.97 /hour + super.
About you You'll be a detail-orientated professional who brings a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills to our team.
Your ability to swiftly identify and resolve discrepancies will be key to driving our financial integrity and continued success.
As an ideal candidate, you'll have the following:
A basic understanding of accounting and/or book-keeping. Ability to analyse large amounts of data from different source systems quickly and accurately to ensure quality of work. Ability to solve problems, perform numerical calculations and interpret data in different situations. Experience completing bank and clearing account reconciliations within a large organisation. Competent in the MS Office365 suite, strong skills in Excel would be advantageous. Strong time management abilities, along with effective communication skills. Why join RACQ?
