About the Role We are seeking a Receptionist / Service Support Officer to assist the Service Support team and wider organisation by providing a high level of reception and administration support, for the delivery of services across Parkerville Children and Youth Care (Inc.), and to support the children, young people, and their families we serve, who have been impacted by trauma from abuse.
This position will be offered on a full-time basis , on a 6-month fixed term contract from June – December 2024 (with possible extension) , as it will provide Parental Leave cover. The role will be based at our George Jones Child, Youth and Family Centre (GJCYFC) in Armadale with some ADHOC cover required at Midland for annual/sick leave.
As the Receptionist / Service Support Officer, your duties and responsibilities will be to: Provide a professional quality reception service with commitment to maintaining a high level of customer support. This includes proficiently answering phones, handling enquiries, and greeting clients, families, and visitors. Assist the Service Support Coordinators and others, with general administrative support, inclusive of printing, photocopying, quality controlling documents, correspondence, reports and presentations and other administrative tasks. Take meeting minutes and provide in draft for meeting organiser's approval. Support clinical and community services staff with client related tasks, such as SMS reminders, appointment scheduling, client enquiries and referrals where required. Complete the general ordering, supplying and distribution of stationary, office equipment and consumable items for the organisation. In order to be successful for this role, the applicant will have: Minimum of 2 years administration experience working within a trauma related field, including a Clinical, Health or Community Service setting Ability to work within and contribute to Our Purpose, Mission and Values of Parkerville Children and Youth Care Ability to maintain strict privacy and confidentiality standards and adhere to organisational policies. Experience in all facets of administration and office procedures. Advanced computer skills including high standard in the use of Microsoft Suite. Accurate typing skills, attention to detail and high standard of spelling and grammar. High level of organisational skills and the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and prioritise own workload. Ability and willingness to work collaboratively as part of the Service Support team. Ability to liaise with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Must be able to provide a minimum of two contactable referees.
