Clinical Receptionist Lower Templestowe, part time
We are seeking an experienced part-time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant. Our psychology private practice is in Lower Templestowe. Our clients are adults, children, adolescents and their families.

Position details: 2 days per week (Mondays 9-5 & Thursdays ) with ad-hoc extra shifts available to cover leave.Duties: welcoming clients, answering telephone; manage new enquiries and clinic wait list; book and manage client appointments; complete intakes; update client information on clinic database; issue invoices and receipts and follow up previous day's payments; take payments via EFTPOS and cash; monitor direct deposit payments and update clinic database with payment details; submit claims to Medicare, TAC, Workcover, VoCAT, NDIS and other third-party payers or insurers; create and send invoice; address enquiries about assessments, create assessment fee agreements and invoices, and liaise with clients regarding payment plans; effectively use Halaxy, Google Drive and other programs as required; attend to account queries and follow up outstanding debts; prepare and balance daily payment reconciliation; bank cash and maintain accurate banking records; send and receive correspondence; liaise with GPs, Medicare and other providers and insurers as required; report OHS issues to practice manager; clean and tidy the office; order and purchase stationery, cleaning and tea room supplies; attend monthly administration team meetings; participate in training opportunities; participate in biannual performance review meetings with practice manager; ad hoc duties as required by the Directors or practice managerEssential criteria: Demonstrated experience (2yr+) in a medical or allied health (or similar) administrative environment.Articulate and friendly customer service skills with a sound understanding of the importance of client confidentiality.Ability to maintain a calm, sensitive, pleasant and respectful manner with a diverse range of people.Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as being a team player.High organisational and administrative skills.Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.Ability to prioritise, manage deadlines and work well under pressure.A keen interest in improving service delivery performance.Excellent IT/computer skills with a willingness to learn our systems.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).Benefits & Culture: We are a friendly and hard-working team.
