Capra Coaching is a K-12 tutoring centre located in central Mosman.
We are looking for a personable and switched-on candidate for our receptionist role.
From 3:00pm in the afternoon (and 9:00am Saturdays), our centre fills with students, tutors and parents, and we are looking for someone to help keep things running smoothly.
We are aiming to hire as soon as possible and for a candidate to be trained late November / early December.
The role will commence late January. Responsibilities will initially include: Greeting students, parents, and tutors when they arrive at the centre; Answering phone calls, emails, and taking messages; Assisting tutors to prepare their resources (printing, photocopying); Keeping the centre clean and tidy (replacing whiteboard erasers and markers, emptying bins, refilling the water fountain); Ordering stationery. Over time, you will also become capable of: Scheduling lessons between students and tutors using our scheduling software; Raising invoices, reconciling payments, and becoming familiar with our accounting software (Xero); Making sales to new clients. Candidates should possess the following characteristics: Outstanding communication skills, including a confident phone manner and a succinct writing style; Self-motivated with high levels of initiative; Warm, friendly, and well-presented; Good problem solver and logical thinker; Familiarity with the NSW primary/high school syllabus; Previous receptionist or administrative experience is highly desired. Critically, the ideal applicant will be excited to learn and progressively take on more responsibility, as there is scope for the role to grow with you with great focus on leadership skills.
This position can evolve into an Office Manager role at the centre.
Hours: Approx 10-20 hours per week. This is a job share role, so please specify your availability.
Shifts run from 2:00-7:00pm on weekdays, and 9:00-2:00pm on Saturdays. Flexibility in weekly schedule is also highly desired, in case a shift needs to be swapped with the other receptionist. Rates: Start at $30 per hour, increasing once competency is demonstrated in the role.
