Fixed Term Full Time – 76 hours per fortnight January 2025 until January 2026 Management & Administrative Officers Grade 1 - $29.57632 per hour (excluding allowances & salary packaging) A great opportunity exists for enthusiastic, highly motivated and customer-focused individuals to join the clerical team at our Consulting Suites on a fixed term basis.
The function of this position is to perform reception and associated office duties for the specialist consultants who utilise the facilities of the Consulting Suites of the West Gippsland Healthcare Group, as well as any other duties deemed appropriate by the Practice Manager.
Our preferred candidate will have: Experience in providing frontline medical reception services, administrative and office support functions in a GP, Specialist clinic or similar environment.Sound computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.Knowledge of health privacy principles.Knowledge of MBS billing.The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous: Certificate in Health or Business Administration.Familiarity with Best Practice medical software.An understanding of medical terminology.IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies).
Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.

The administrative headquarters are located at West Gippsland Hospital in Warragul, approximately 100kms east of Melbourne.
