You'll have great interpersonal skills and enjoy being the first person to greet visitors, families and loved ones to the Home; and be a go-to person for general enquiries.A friendly sociable personality coupled with empathy and compassion for the elderly will make you a perfect fit for this client-centred "front of house" role.Some of your duties will include but not be limited to:Reception duties – face to face and over the phoneAssisting with new admissions to the homeLiaising with the Residential Manager when vacancies occur to ascertain type of Resident requiredMaintain relevant documentation (eg Resident lists) at the direction of the Residential ManagerLiaising with residents and their families to support the transition into care from an administrative perspectivePrepare records for new residentsCoordinate and assist manager with rostering as requiredMaintaining staff personal records including registrations and certificatesWhat you will bring to the role?Experience working in an administrative role within Aged Care or Health care setting (desired)Administrative and reception experienceUnderstanding of staff rostersExcellent written, oral and numerical skillsProblem solving skills and ability to prioritise tasksExcellent interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of peopleHigh level information technology skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsWho is Southern Cross Care Queensland?Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago.
