Jackson School was established in 1976 and is situated in the suburb of St Albans, in the South-West region of Victoria. The school is a Special School for students with a mild intellectual disability. All students must have a mild intellectual disability with a FSIQ within the 50-70 range and be funded under the Program for Students with Disabilities (PSD) or Disability Inclusion (DI).

RoleAn education support class position at this range will perform tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy under supervision and direction. This may include coordination of other education support class staff within the work area or educational program.
ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of this position will be:
Reception Greet all parents/carers and visitors and ensure visitor sign-in processes are followed.Triage phone calls and complaints to appropriate leadership staff members.Recording any enrolment inquiries into the Online Pre-Enrolment Enquiry Form (if required).Provide first aid support to students, including administering routine medication.Daily CRT preparation, including compiling CRT briefing sheets with class CRT booklet and devices.Distribute uniforms and support families with uniform requests.Process any administration archives into the school's archiving system.Manage student attendances, including marking daily AM & PM rolls, recording student absences & reasons, and following up on unexplained absences.Accounts Receivable Manage school's accounts receivable including receipting any monies on CASES21 & Xuno, preparing monies for banking.Count and receipt cash tins (Café and Coffee) daily and reconcile EFTPOS transactions.Who May ApplyIndividuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
