About the practice
Blossoming Kids is a private children's mental health practice located in Ashmore, QLD. We have Play Therapists, Social Workers and Psychologists on our team with a view to continue expanding. Our vision is to provide holistic mental health support to children, young people and their families in fun and engaging ways. We are a small team and we offer flexibility in the workplace, acknowledging the importance of work-life balance. We value our staff and offer professional development to ensure ongoing growth and development.
The role and ideal candidate
The role is currently being offered as permanent part-time, at approximately 25-30 hours per week. Possible options to increase to full time available. We are looking for an experienced, warm and highly organised receptionist/administration officer, ideally with experience in allied health or mental health. You will be the first point of contact for anyone contacting the practice, thus excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with a warm and welcoming nature. Experience working in administration/reception in a children's private practice clinic will be HIGHLY regarded.
Role responsibilities include:
- Reception duties
- Exceptional customer service including greeting clients, answering phone calls and emails
- Responding to inquiries & managing follow up calls
- Diary management – client bookings, cancellations & wait list
- Billing – EFTPOS payments, Medicare rebates and invoicing
- Using practice management software
- Support in building referral pathways & contact with stakeholders
- Running reports & tracking data
- Cleaning/looking after the office
Essential skills:
- Administration experience (2+ years)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
o Presenting as warm and responsive during phone calls and in person
o Confidence interacting with young children
- Organised and ability to work independently
- Ability to make fast-paced decisions
- Exceptional skills in task prioritisation and high detail orientation
- Enthusiastic
- Fun! We work with children and a lot of our work is play-based, we need someone who wants to join the fun
Desirable skills/experience:
- Experience in allied health
- Experience in children's mental health private practice will come very highly regarded
- Experience using Halaxy
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $27.00 – $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
Work Location: In person
