The role: Lauriston Girls' School is seeking a bright, energetic customer-focused individual for the role of Receptionist / Administration Assistant. This is an important role within the School as they are the first point of contact for parents, students, staff and visitors.
The Receptionist / Administration Assistant serves as the central coordinating point for all incoming telephone calls, is responsible for greeting visitors, and maintains the reception area. They provide general office and a variety of administrative assistance (including supporting the Admissions office) and perform other duties as assigned.
The primary objective of this role is to ensure all functions of the reception area are attended to and maintained in a professional and efficient manner. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills together with a positive customer-oriented attitude.
This role also incorporates general administrative duties as determined by the Administration Manager and the Business Manager and requires flexibility to assist colleagues as required during quiet periods with any tasks to meet office priorities, whether or not specifically listed as part of the duties.
Reception is open 8am - 4.30pm daily during school term, except for public holidays, and when the school is closed over the Christmas break.
This is an ongoing, full-time position to commence 20th January 2025.
