Remuneration: Salary $70,170.36 per annum. Equivalent salary range with packaging approx. $79,232 per annum. As a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) NAAFLS can offer up to $15,899 per annum of the salary, Tax-free as a fringe benefit (conditions apply).
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8:15am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm
Employment Type: Full-time ongoing position (subject to funding)
Superannuation: 11.5%
Leave Entitlement: 6 weeks per annum plus 17.5% leave loading

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain the reception area of the Katherine Office. Provide frontline information on NAAFLS services. Process client intake enquiries. Monitor, screen and redirect calls and visitors. Enter information into NAAFLS electronic document storage system. Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of processes and procedures. Maintain and manage adequate levels of stationery and tea-room supplies. Provide secretarial support for Staff meetings including setting up relevant equipment. Participate in organisational wide meetings, workshops and planning sessions as required. Undertake training/professional development as required. Promote and maintain safe work practices in accordance with NAAFLS WH&S Policies and Procedures. Undertake other duties as reasonably directed. DUTIES Provide frontline information on NAAFLS services and other support services to clients in Top End remote Aboriginal Communities. Monitor, screen and redirect telephone calls and visitors. In conjunction with the Reception/Administration Assistant in Darwin, monitor and action emails in the Admin and Check-in Outlook inboxes. Under direction from the Operations Co-ordinator, arrange maintenance and other requirements relating to NAAFLS fleet in Katherine. Monitor Katherine staff use of the booking system in regard to using NAAFLS vehicles. Process client intake enquiries as part of NAAFLS Intake Team. Collect and post mail daily. Oversee keys for the office and vehicles. Ensure accurate and timely data entry using NAAFLS electronic document storage system. Arrange bookings for client meetings and ensure meeting rooms and the reception area are clean and tidy at all times. Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of processes and procedures to ensure consistent and accurate services to clients. Maintain and manage adequate levels of promotional materials, stationery and tea-room supplies. Provide secretarial support for Staff meetings including setting up relevant equipment. Participate in organisational wide meetings, workshops and planning sessions as required. Adhere to NAAFLS policies and procedures. Build a positive culture within the service which is aligned with NAAFLS' values and Strategic Plan. Undertake training/professional development as required. Maintain safe work practices in accordance with NAAFLS WH&S Policies and Procedures. Undertake other duties as reasonably directed. SELECTION CRITERIA Essential Ability to provide a high level of customer service to clients while maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity. Knowledge and experience in administrative procedures. Proven ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in a service delivery environment, including strong relationship building and advocacy skills. Demonstrated ability using a range of computer programs and databases. Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to exercise initiative, determine workload priorities and complete tasks within required timeframes. Ability to work proactively without direct supervision. Demonstrated ability to perform as a reliable, productive and constructive team member. Must obtain a Working With Children Clearance (WWCC) and a clear Criminal History Check. Possess a current 'C' Class NT Drivers Licence.
