The Student Services Assistant is a role that combines front desk reception, customer service with admin. You will provide high quality customer service on our reception front desk and facilitate all aspects of sales transactions, end of day, stock and inventory control and admin support.
The role specifics: 2 days per week; Thursday and Friday (non-negotiable)9.30am until 4.30pm Perm part time ongoingYou must be able to take on extra hours to cover leave and work our peak time in Feb/March Onsite only due to the requirement to be customer facing. In this job share role your key responsibilities include: Processing the sale of merchandise and membershipsInventory management, stock control and transferring of stockData entry into the membership databaseDaily banking and reconciliation tasks (eftpos and credit card transactions)Sales of miscellaneous itemsOther tasks as requiredTo be successful in this role you are: Enthusiastic and friendly with excellent communication skillsEftpos and credit card experienceA minimum of 2 years' experience with a background in either reception, admin, customer service, warehousing or salesSkilled in MS Office particularly Excel and Teams A team player who can work autonomouslyCan work the required days and has the flexibility to do extra hours during training and peak times in Feb/March each year DUSA is the Deakin University Student Association!
