Reporting to the Credit Manager, this role will form part of the credit control function and will assist with the day-to-day workflow of the team.
The Finance Team at Hall & Wilcox is a team of 35 that provide financial and management accounting, trust accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, commercial analysis and banking and practice support functions across the Firm.
You will assist with a range of tasks, including:
Managing receipting for firm accounts;Processing client credit card payments;Resolving client payment queries;Managing and rectifying unidentified deposits; and preparing documentation for refunds of duplicate/incorrect payments;Acting as backup to the Credit Officers and assisting with debtor collections for the firm nationally, when required. This includes collections via calls and email;Ad hoc duties as required from time to time.About you You will ideally have the following skills and experience:
2+ years of experience in an accounts receipting or payment processing role, preferably within a law firm or in professional services;A relevant tertiary qualification;Experience working with Aderant is highly desirable;Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment;Ability to work under pressure and with high volume;Excellent organizational skills and an ability to plan and prioritize;Excellent verbal and written communications;Strong problem-solving skills;A high level of enthusiasm and a positive and proactive approach.About us Hall & Wilcox is a leading independent Australian law firm.
