From our modern offices located at Girraween (NSW), we process, prepare, and distribute chicken meat products.We are currently recruiting for Rearing Farm Manager at our new Rearing facility based in Goulburn area in NSW. The successful applicants must be prepared to work directly with livestock, after hours and on weekends. A Company house on site will be provided to the successful applicant.Reporting to the Breeder Division Manager, you will be required to manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations as well as use sustainable livestock management practices to develop and implement appropriate strategies that meet longer-term production goals and deliver incremental gains towards profitability, efficiency and quality.Responsibilities:Breeding and raising livestockMonitoring and maintaining the health and condition of livestockMoving livestock to optimise feeding opportunitiesOrganising and conducting farming operations such as catching, sterilising machines, and collecting, grading and packaging produceDirecting and overseeing general farming activities such as maintaining shedsMaintaining fences, equipment and water supply systemsOrganising transportation of livestock and produceMaintaining and evaluating records of farming activities, monitoring market activity and planning production accordinglyRecruit, train and supervise staff and contractorsManagement of the day-to-day operation of the farm aimed at delivering optimum performance of the flockAbility to oversee and supervise staffing requirements and prioritising of workloadProficiently operate all machinery, plant and equipmentMonitor feed management and bird collectionDaily shed servicing and grounds maintenanceWeekly accurate weighing of birdsEnsure accurate record keepingManage contract vaccination crews and grading crewsMonitor animal welfare and production qualityRespond to alarms on site at any time of the day or nightUnderstand WH&S practicesFollow company policies on animal welfare, environmental standards, and biosecurityHave the ability to analyse and improve the overall efficiency of the operationSkills and Experience:A Relevant Bachelor's DegreeA minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.The ideal candidate will have experience in the poultry industry in either a supervisory or managerial role.You must be able to work both independently and as a team and be committed to providing sustainable livestock management practices.You will be able to demonstrate your effective communication and leadership skills, as well as your commitment to the support, development and positive engagement of your team.Self-managing and proactive, you must have a good working knowledge of WH&S requirements and be efficient with excellent site management capabilities, ensuring all quality and maintenance standards are upheld.An attractive Salary of $90,000 – $110,000 and competitive package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.If you are a flexible, resilient candidate with a can-do attitude, who is creative and self-sufficient then APPLY NOW.Cordina Core ValuesThe core values of the company areDOING THE RIGHT THING, LEADING BY EXAMPLE, WORKING AS ONE, BEING YOUR BEST, CREATING NEW & BETTER WAYS.
