This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Real Estate Paralegal to join a high-performing, well-established team in Sydney CBD. This role is a 12-month full-time contract covering a period of parental leave. The successful candidate will primarily work within a close-knit Leasing team led by an experienced Real Estate Partner and will be involved in property leasing with occasional conveyancing transactions.
Sector-focused global law firmOpportunity to work with a friendly, down-to-earth teamWhat you'll do: As a Real Estate Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in our Leasing team. Your primary focus will be property leasing, but you will also assist on conveyancing transactions from time to time. You will be responsible for preparing initial draft lease documents and supporting senior paralegals on leasing transactions. Your keen attention to detail will enable you to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet tight deadlines.
Assist with the preparation of initial draft lease documents, including leases, variations, surrenders, and assignments.Support senior paralegals on leasing transactions and predominantly handle matters from the point of issuing documents for execution.Check insurances and bank guarantees, request mortgagee's consent, arrange registration on PEXA, and attend to safekeeping.Keep up to date on all matters and prepare follow-up emails when required.Maintain client status reports updated and distribute monthly.What you bring: The ideal candidate for this Real Estate Paralegal position is someone with at least two years of experience in Leasing and Conveyancing. Your exceptional communication skills and strong client service mindset set you apart. You have experience using PEXA and are able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Your proactive approach allows you to work effectively even under pressure.
