Our products enable complex inspection and intervention in maritime infrastructure management (UWILD, NDT, CVI, Sampling), military/police operations (Special Recovery), marine science, autonomous robotics research applications, and more.Job OpportunityCurrently, we are looking for an experienced and skilled Mechanical Engineer for production at Reach Robotics.
This will be a full-time role for a dedicated person.Main Duties:Understanding Reach Robotics' products in a holistic sense from a software, electrical, and mechanical perspective.Conducting repairs and servicing of Reach Robotics' core products.Responsible for the development of robotic manipulators and related systems engineered for deployment in challenging environments.Improve existing manufacturing processes through the application of product design, fabrication tolerances, tooling, and materials.Perform root cause analysis to determine the cause of issues on failures in the field.Maintain accurate and up-to-date timeline and quality control records.Provide technical support with cost and lead time for service and repairs.Generate Engineering Change (ECN) to track changes made to current products and their subassemblies.Perform incoming inspection on critical components and communicate issues with equipment vendors.Develop and validate new manufacturing processes.Establish and maintain ISO9001 quality processes.Hands-on assembly of mechanical and electrical components.Problem-solve issues that arise on the production line.Understand handling of O-ring and x-ring seals, sealing surfaces.Eligibility Requirements:AQF Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) or higher qualification.Minimum 2 years of experience required in a similar role.Other Skills Requirement:Use of hand tools, lathe, milling, soldering PCBs.CAD modeling using SolidWorks and PDM.Making part drawings suitable for CNC manufacturing.3D printing and additive manufacturing.Design for manufacturing.O-ring and x-ring seals handling.Measuring parts precisely using calipers and CMM (Coordinate-measuring machine).Salary:Salary is $90,000 - $100,000 + superannuation.
