The Opportunity In this role, you will safely transport visitors and residents between Raymond Island and Paynesville.
Your will be responsible for: Operating the Ferry in a safe, timely and reliable manner, monitoring vehicles and patrons at all times.
Conducting Pre-start vessel checks and daily maintenance ensuring the Ferry is clean and hazard free Collect applicable fares and check ferry passes.
This is a full-time ongoing role and is based in Paynesville/Raymond Island.
Things You're Proud Of (Key Selection Criteria) Recreational Boat Licence (Current Coxswain Grade 1 Near Coastal Certificate preferred).
Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011).
Excellent Customer Service Skills.
Experience in Maintaining Equipment related to the operation of the Raymond Island Ferry.
Experience in dealing with conflict and the ability to negotiate good outcomes.
Understanding and ability to implement personnel practices, including Occupational Health and Safety.
If successful, you will need to undertake a police check and pre-employment medical.
You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
