About the role: As the Manager, Payroll you will be responsible for the end to end payroll function for the Group. You will be proficient in all payroll tasks and will also contribute to broader HR initiatives, including corporate and statutory reporting, external audits, process and system improvements, scoping and DD of systems and onboarding and offboarding. You will focus on providing a high level of service to stakeholders across the group, creating efficiencies and "better ways of doing things" and will be able to work independently across all Loan Market Group entities in Australia and NZ. Your positive, can-do attitude and ability to be adaptable to changing priorities are essential in this position.
Key responsibilities: Vendor and Stakeholder Management (Internal and External):Ensure ongoing level of service with external providers including, Employment Hero, Keypay and CFS.Engage IT and Info Security to effectively manage any system upgrades/enhancements and ensure minimal disruption.Troubleshoot any issues as it relates to systems with the relevant parties.Engage with providers for any additional services, costings etc.On train payroll/HR in the systems in particular any new/additional system features.Represent payroll as needed at any internal meetings including with Audit, Tax, Finance.Support external organisations requests for information i.e. OSR, ATO, Inland Revenue.Business Improvement and Strategy:Suggest, drive and implement business improvement initiatives.Streamline processes to create efficiencies.Use technology to enhance manual tasks i.e. reporting, API integrations and workflow automation.Set the strategy for Payroll.Leadership:Leadership and development of the payroll assistant.Onboard new payroll team members.End to end processing of all employees within the fortnightly pay cycle:Process timesheets, ordinary earnings & bonus payments.Calculate and pay terminations.Process remuneration increases and calculation of back payments.Balance general ledger reports.Prepare journals and reporting for the Finance team.Process monthly, fortnightly and out of cycle/additional payments for all corporate employees.Payroll Administration:Create new starters and remove terminations.Update and maintain payroll records.Document management of employee records.Create and maintain the payroll training materials and guides.Draft letters of offer, employment agreements and variation letters if needed.Update terms of employment i.e. salary, hours, position, manager etc.Calculate redundancies and deeds of release.Manage payroll email inbox.End of Month / Year Processes:Complete end of month processes including:Superannuation process.PAYG payments.Calculation of payroll tax.Monthly reporting.End of financial year processes for all employing entities.End of financial year WorkCover estimates and declarations.Any other ad hoc tasks as required.To succeed in this role you will bring with you: Qualifications in a related discipline would be highly regarded.Preferred experience in Employment Hero, KeyPay and CFS super.Demonstrated payroll processing experience.Ability to work to deadlines for pay runs.Attention to detail.Customer focused.Positive attitude and team player.Ability to manage time, take ownership of issues, and work independently.Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills.Numerical ability and data entry skills.Understanding of payroll legislation and processes i.e. tax, superannuation.Ability to interpret awards and relevant legislation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
