What is the role?

You will conduct research of new materials including yarns, knitting methods, new fabric treatments and dyeing/printing techniques.
Support the development of new and innovative materials for the brands, ensuring these are Fit for Purpose, meet our HAA Quality Requirements and Sustainability Goals.
Support the execution of department objectives and initiatives.
Organize and maintain fabric inventory for Sydney Lab.
Ensuring our Product Line Management (PLM) database is consistently updated and accurate.
Collaborate and support satellite offices to identify strategic initiatives and process improvement opportunities.

What experience we are looking for?

Some experience in the apparel/fashion textile industry, with experience in developing and sourcing fabrics and trims.
Understanding of product design and development process, from inception through to production.
Problem-solving skills with the ability to provide insights and make practical recommendations.
Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to build strong business relationships.
Strong attention to detail and data integrity.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and working knowledge of database systems (e.g.
PLM) is advantageous.
Textile Technology qualifications.
