RAW MATERIALS DEVELOPER | INNOVATION | PYRMONT, NSW Due to growth and some exciting upcoming projects in our Design Innovation team, we have an opportunity available for an experienced Raw Materials Developer.
This role focuses on sourcing and developing new and innovative raw materials across a range of categories for our amazing BONDS products and other Hanesbrands.
We are looking for someone who is excited about innovation and product development with proven experience partnering with design teams to make practical recommendations. What is the role? You will conduct research of new materials including yarns, knitting methods, new fabric treatments and dyeing/ printing techniquesDevelop new and innovative materials for the brands, ensuring these are Fit for Purpose, meet our HAA Quality Requirements and Sustainability Goals.Support the execution of department objectives and initiativesOrganize and maintain fabric inventory for Sydney LabEnsuring our Product Line Management (PLM) database is consistently updated and accurateCollaborate and support satellite offices to identify strategic initiatives and process improvement opportunitiesWhat experience we are looking for? 3 + years of related experience in the apparel/fashion textile industry, with experience in developing and sourcing fabrics and trims.Understanding of product design and development process, from inception through to productionStrategic problem-solving skills with the ability to provide insights and make practical recommendationsExcellent stakeholder management skills and ability to build strong business relationshipsExceptional time management and organizational skillsYou are a team player with an incredible work ethicStrong attention to detail and data integrityProficient with Microsoft Office suite and working knowledge of database systems (e.g. PLM) is advantageousYou will hold Textile Technology qualificationsWhat can we offer you?
