The role We are seeking a Rates Coordinator to join our Financial Services department. This role is crucial for mitigating financial and reputational risks by ensuring accurate property and rates accounting records and systems. You will support the Chief Financial Officer and oversee the Rates team, promoting a culture of excellence while enhancing community confidence in our services.
Key responsibilities will include: Financial Controls: Ensure timely and accurate property and rates accounting records in compliance with statutory obligations. System Evaluation: Continuously assess and improve systems, policies, and procedures related to the Rates function. Compliance: Maintain best practices to ensure adherence to Office of Local Government requirements and guidelines. System Integrity: Oversee the operation of the Rating system, collaborating with Legal, Finance, and IT teams to ensure efficient usage. Training & Support: Provide training for staff on the Rating system and address any reported issues, ensuring smooth operation. Customer Focus: Enhance the internal and external customer experience through strong service delivery.
