A vacancy for a Rates and Revenue Officer has become available within the Greater Shepparton City Council's Rates and Revenue department.
The position of Rates and Revenue Officer is responsible for performing numerous administrative and operational functions to assist in the management of Council's rates revenue collection.
To be considered for this position, you will need: Organisation and time management skills combined with the ability to handle competing priorities to adapt to fluctuating workloads and changing prioritiesThe ability to work to deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detailSkills and experience working within a customer service environmentWell-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and build relationships with key stakeholdersThe ability to apply initiative and problem solve on issues encountered in day-to-day activitiesStrong oral, written and verbal communication skillsProficient in the use of Microsoft OfficeKey Responsibilities include: Monitoring and processing incoming customer requests and applications;Processing Supplementary Valuation and Objections;Maintaining Council's property ownership records and name & address register;Maintaining the integrity of data in relation to Rates and Revenue functions;Processing financial adjustments;Attending to enquiries from ratepayers, Government agencies and external contractors.For further information about this position, please contact Claire Barnes, Manager - Finance and Rates, on 5832 9804.
Note: This position is subject to a 6 month qualifying period in accordance with the Fair Work Australia minimum employment period.
