The
Head of Finance
is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the financial systems and administrative functions at Rapid Loans. Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer and Chief Executive Officer, this role ensures the provision of high-quality financial data and insights to drive strategic and operational decision-making.
The Head of Finance will design, implement, and optimise financial systems to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable financial data across all aspects of the business. This role supports both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning, contributing to the company's growth and financial stability.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic financial management, focusing on cost and revenue optimisation, planning, and execution.
Oversee all finance activities, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and negotiations.
Manage cash flow effectively, ensuring financial data is accurate, timely, and accessible for decision-making.
Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency through process redesign and digitization.
Establish shared services and regionalized processes where appropriate.
Ensure capital allocation aligns with strategic goals and implement robust evaluation and control processes for capital management.
Develop and monitor benchmarks and performance standards to maintain the organization's financial health.
Identify and manage financial risk exposure.
Support growth strategies, including mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and revenue opportunities.
Lead major commercial projects, including negotiating complex transactions.
Mentor and manage a dynamic, high-performing Finance team.
Qualifications and Experience:
Educational Requirements:
Postgraduate degree in Management or a related field.
Tertiary qualification in Commerce or Accounting.
Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification (or international equivalent).
Professional Experience:
Extensive senior leadership experience within financial services, with a focus on long-term business viability and growth.
Proven experience managing fiscal reporting, including revenue/expense reports, balance sheets, and budgeting.
Demonstrated success in presenting financial insights and strategies to Executive Leadership Teams and Boards.
Expertise in leading financial operations, driving efficiency, and optimizing financial performance.
