About the Position Our Community Safety Team provide a highly visible andresponsive Community Safety service in partnership with theCommunity to contribute to a safe and secure lifestyle andsustainable city. Our Safety team are currently seeking a highly motivated anddedicated Ranger who is confident in engaging with our communityand is customer focused. In this position you will providecommunity education and the enforcement of relevant Acts,Regulations and Local Laws to improve community safety andneighbourhood amenity. Key Responsibilities The duties of the Ranger will include but are not limitedto: Attending to general ranger duties including enquiries and complaints received concerning the various responsibilities undertaken by the section. Interpretation, administration and enforcement of relevant Acts, regulations, and Local Laws. Efficiently and accurately utilise mobile computing, GPS technology and other related systems. Undertaking parking patrols to encourage/achieve a high level of compliance with parking prohibitions and restrictions and to deter anti-social behaviour. Assist with the operations of the Animal Care Facility. For further information, please refer to the positiondescription. About You The following qualifications and experience are highly desired,but if you don't tick all the boxes, you could still be aperfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will beconsidered. Previous experience as a Ranger or in a similar role; including experience in local government or similar law enforcement settings. Ability to remain self-motivated and work autonomously. Experience with investigations including supporting documentation. High level organisational and time management skills. Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, superior community engagement and customer service, conflict resolution and negotiation skills, with experience in dealing with difficult situations. Knowledge of the relevant Acts, Regulations and Local Laws applicable to Ranger Services, as well as the ability to research and interpret legislative requirements. Experience in animal handling. Certificate in Municipal Law Enforcement or relevant experience Current 'C' Class Drivers Licence For further information, please refer to the positiondescription.
