Ranger in Charge. Department of Natural Resources and EnvironmentTasmania. St Helens, Launceston & North East TAS. Conservation, Parks& Wildlife (Farming, Animals & Conservation). Government - State(Government & Defence). Full time. $96,584 to $101,313 pro rata, perannum + super.About the role As the Ranger in Charge you will manage the day-to-dayoperations of the St Helens Field Centre. You will support and developthe skills and potential of your team and contribute to progression ofthe regional business plan and achievement of the strategic goals.The Ranger in Charge is responsible for a small, dedicated and highlycompetent team which focuses on the management of the numerousreserves which dominate the area. This large area ranges from theChain of Lagoons in the South to Mount William National Park in theNorth.The role of Ranger in Charge is an opportunity to be member of awelcoming community managing a highly skilled team in a beautifulregion of Tasmania.Our ideal candidate has: A Diploma in Conservation and Land Managementor other qualifications deemed equivalent. Minimum of five years'experience in reserve management or equivalent. A current motorvehicle drivers licence. Proficiency in leading teams and volunteerprograms. Strong interpersonal skills. Experience with fire managementoperations. Operational management skills, including projectmanagement, resource allocation and decision making.What we offer Permanent position located in St Helens.
