Job Description Opportunity: The City of Albany's Ranger Team is looking for experienced and customer-focused individuals to be part of their Ranger team.
Reporting to the Senior Ranger, this role will see you responsible for, but not limited to:
Assist customer enquiries by providing advice, support, educational programmes and information on the broad range of animal control, parking, camping, fire prevention and other related activities within the Ranger Team. Enforce various Acts, local laws and policies relating to animal control, parking, camping, off-road vehicles, illegal dumping of rubbish, fire prevention and advise staff and public of associated requirements on a day-to-day basis. Undertake regular patrols to ensure compliance with the Acts, local laws and policy relating to Ranger roles and responsibilities. Desired Skills and Experience About You: Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with people within and outside the team. Experience in Bush Fire Mitigation and enforcement of Local Government Fire Management Notices under the Bush Fire Act. Strong customer service focus and commitment. Well-developed verbal, written and computer literacy skills. Well-developed time management and organisational skills. Ability to interpret Acts or other legislation. General off-road and four-wheel driving experience desirable. Experience in dealing with animals and an understanding of animal behaviour.
