Our Community Development team is seeking a Coordinator Social Planning.Purpose :The Coordinator Social Planning leads a team responsible for producing evidence-based strategies and plans that drive positive social change and improve community wellbeing.
The role influences Council's broader planning, social infrastructure investment and decision-making processes through the provision of advice about local cultural, economic, environmental and social standards based on data, public policy and behavioural trends.About the role :Lead and provide accountability in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of social planning policy and plans for Randwick City.Provide general Social Planning advice on the domains of local cultural, economic, environmental and social standards to inform Council's broader planning processes, not exclusively limited to the Community and Culture division.Apply various tools such as population and data analysis, gap analysis, projection profiling, social forecasts, business analysis and related community engagement processes to inform a wide range of Council's planning processes.Lead and take accountability for the Community Investment Program, ensuring rounds are on-schedule, within budget and guided by local area priorities and the community's strategic vision.Coordinate Council's engagement of Community Housing Providers.About you :Extensive experience developing evidence-based studies, needs assessments, data analysis as well as experience developing strategy, plans and procedural documents that address these issues.Demonstrated knowledge of public policy issues and stakeholders, including the role of different levels of government and the NFP service sector.Further information :View the position description online or contact Trina Soulos, Manager Community Development on .Employment in this position is subject to the successful completion of a Criminal History Check with a result of no relevant adverse findings and a current Working with Children Check.#J-18808-Ljbffr
