We're seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to drive local project wins and contribute to their national growth. This is your chance to join a dynamic team and make a real impact!
About the Role:
Estimate and Tender: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for a range of commercial design and build projects, ensuring timely submission of competitive tenders. Project Scope & Design: Collaborate with clients and project teams to understand project requirements, analyse specifications, and develop comprehensive cost breakdowns. Value Engineering: Identify cost optimisation opportunities, explore alternative materials and methods, and contribute to achieving budget targets. Market Research: Stay informed about current market trends, pricing fluctuations, and relevant industry regulations. Tender Strategy: Develop winning tender strategies, negotiate contract terms, and support the commercial business unit in securing new and exciting projects. Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely reports on project costings, risk assessments, and budget performance. Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience in commercial design and build project estimation, with a demonstrated portfolio of successfully tendered Government projects (ideally valued up to $20 million). Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and current industry standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Proficiency in Procore, Autodesk, Bluebeam or Jobpac. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy. Experience working on Government School and Healthcare Projects. Benefits:
