Role Purpose
Provide assistance to the Ramp Manager with managing the day-to-day operation of the Ramp department.
Main accountabilities include:
Communicate with airline reps/ regulatory authorities and attend regular meetings Manage both International and Domestic Ramp business units Responsible for the facilitation of training, resourcing, shift/duty allocations and rostering Responsible for future resource planning and potential business and customer opportunities Responsible for capturing all necessary operational/finance data using software (RSMS) Responsible for implementation of new systems/software (MARS etc) via required processes Responsible for cost mitigation when budgeted scheduling/revenue has reductions Ensure that productivity and performance criteria are met Oversee duties across both the domestic and international operations Work down as required Management:
Oversee the allocation of shift overtime ensuring that each shift has satisfactory staffing levels to ensure we meet operational requirements Administer disciplinary action to any staff members who are found to be in breach of company policy Demonstrate leadership, decision making and organisational skills necessary to efficiently meet performance requirements in a changing work environment Attend meetings as required by the Ramp Manager Liaise with Management, level 8, level 7, level 6, Service desk and PSS (passenger service supervisors) to ensure operational requirements are being met Manage and report OH&S concerns and maintain a safe working environment Assist with presenting induction training and on staff interviewing panel Oversee the Training and Maintenance departments Co-ordinate and oversee staff recruitment Administration:
Produce rosters to cover operational requirements Conduct staff appraisals and plan staff development Monitor the signing in/out of vehicles Initiate and investigate incident reporting using the MORSE system Actions incident reporting requirements and ensure all documentation details are completed accurately Responsible for the planning and implementation of the Company's OHS policy within an operational area Develop and implement procedures aimed at the prevention of workplace injuries Develop and implement procedures on the management of workplace attendance in an operational area Use company computer programs to capture airline/ flight details Work down as Ramp Supervisor within the operation Enterprise Knowledge:
Assume responsibility for the implementation of company policies and procedures Apply detailed understanding of customer airline systems Apply detailed knowledge of government regulations People management principles Incident reporting and investigation Resolve operational issues Provide more detailed advice and information on the organisation's products and services Safety, Security, WellBeing and Compliance:
