Position: Ramp AssistantCompany: CHC HelicopterLocation: DarwinType: 12 Month Fixed Term Full-TimeKey Responsibilities:Adhere to corporate CHC Health, Safety and Environment & Quality Policy and all other company policies.Binning/replenishing.Maintaining housekeeping, cleanliness, and safety standards to ensure the store office area and hangar are in a presentable condition.Refuelling of Aircraft, including hot refuelling.Preservation and storage of life jackets and headsets.Safe loading of passengers and freight into company aircraft.Aircraft towing.Aircraft cleaning and polishing.Aircraft reconfigurations.Assist stores where required.Maintenance of ground support equipment, machinery, and vehicles.Other duties as instructed by the Senior Base Engineer / Base Manager / Operations Officers.Required Qualifications:Minimum Year 12 or equivalent.An ability to obtain and hold an ASIC card.A current Forklift license is required.Skills/Experience:Dangerous goods and WHIMIS training an advantage.Possess 1-2 years current or previous ramp experience.Ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.Attributes/Behaviours:Ability to engage strong relationships at all levels.Team oriented with a can-do attitude.Strong problem-solving and solution-oriented skills.Strong time management, planning, and organisational skills.At CHC, we believe a diverse workforce makes us stronger.
