CHC has a current opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic team member to join our Karratha base as a Ramp Assistant on a fixed term basis until 30 June 2026. Reporting to the Base Manager, the position will ensure the efficient, secure and cost-effective operation of all ramps related duties at the base.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdhere to corporate CHC Health, Safety and Environment & Quality Policy and all other company policiesPreparation of aircraft cabin prior to flight and after flightsBaggage and freight handling/loading of aircraftProvide assistance to Operations with passenger life vests, briefings, passenger escorting/loadingProvide assistance to engineers on aircraft departures and arrivalsMaintain housekeeping, cleanliness and safety standards within the Base hangarCarry out forklift duties as required (forklift licence required)Refuelling of aircraft - including rotors running refuellingQualifications, Skills & AttributesTo be successful in this role you will require the following:An ability to obtain and hold an ASIC cardA current Forklift LicenceStrong organisational and time management skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to work autonomously and under supervisionThe ability to work in a small teamPossess a positive and can-do attitude approachAviation related operational experience or experience in a similar role will be viewed favourably.
