About the RoleAs a Rail Network Modelling Intern, you'll be involved in critical projects that will shape the future of V/Line's service planning and rail network operations.
You'll gain practical, hands-on experience with advanced rail modelling systems and contribute to the development of strategic service plans that improve the way we move people across Victoria.Key responsibilities include:·Rail Network Planning: Contribute to the design and development of V/Line's strategic service plans and future network configurations.·Data Analysis: Collect, collate, and analyse operational data to inform planning decisions.·Modelling and Simulation: Support the validation and testing of RailSys models, ensuring data integrity and model accuracy.·Collaborative Projects: Work with a multi-disciplinary team of experts, contributing to the development of innovative decision-support tools and operational simulations.
About YouWe're looking for motivated students who are passionate about using data and technology to solve real-world problems.
The ideal candidate will:·Be completing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.·Have experience with quantitative analysis and data-driven problem solving.·Possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills (programming experience is a plus).·Have strong communication skills to present findings and collaborate effectively with a team.
