That's good for our customers, motorists, the environment, and communities.About the Division / TeamOur Hunter Valley network primarily services the Hunter Valley coal chain – the world's largest thermal coal export operation – by providing an efficient and reliable rail transportation system between mines and the Port of Newcastle. We manage the movement of around 250 trains per day on our network. Around half of these being coal trains and the other half comprised of passenger services, as well as grain, general intermodal, and other bulk freight trains.About the OpportunityThe Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Rail Equipment Engineer (Mobile Plant) to join our National Plant Team in Newcastle, NSW. In this newly created, hands-on role you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our mobile plant, road rail vehicles and rolling stock assets. Your primary responsibilities will encompass engineering and technical support, performance testing, effective problem identification, investigation & resolution, change management, and more!
