As a field role, it is important that you are happy to work in a variety of weather conditions. This is a long-term project offering a secure and stable position for the right candidate, so we are looking to build a committed team.About youThe following are a requirement:Rail Corridor Protection Officer (RCPO) qualified or seeking to obtainManual Car LicenceAbility to pass a police checkRIW cardQR - Safely Access the Rail Corridor (SARC)Cat 3 MedicalThe following requirements/skills are highly desirable but not essential:Protection Officer accreditation would be very highly regardedACDC LicenceExperience/interest in identification of species both native and weedsExperience & knowledge in use of handling of a variety of agricultural chemicalsConservation Land Management Cert II, III or higher (preferred) (now called conservation and ecosystem)Experience with equipment operations & maintenance such as zero turn mowers, chainsaws, brush-cutters etc. is desirableTractor and slasher tickets or experience such as Conduct Tractor Operations Course (RIIMP0315D) or similar4WD experience and towing experienceHR or MR truck licenceAll applicants should:Be flexible to work away when requiredHave the ability to work unsupervisedHave the ability to work effectively and efficiently within a teamBe happy to work in a variety of weather conditionsBe physically fit and able to undertake labour intensive workBe reliable and hard workingHave their own reliable vehicleWhat we offerFull on the job training and ongoing professional development opportunitiesAbove award wages and all PPE supplied (you will require your own steel cap work boots)Stability; long term projectMonday to Friday daytime hours; no weekend or night workWe are encouraging all interested persons to apply without delay.
