We're seeking an experienced systems administrator who's eager to further develop technological skills on a worldwide stage. This person will protect our critical systems and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in developing the overall IT strategy.From early on, the systems administrator will empower breakthrough innovations, take on challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and be responsible for results. The ideal candidate is passionate about applying skills and expertise to a technology-based business model that creates real-world solutions for the global marketplace.Objectives of this roleMaintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative.Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide commercial advantage in the global marketplace.Enable faster and smarter business processes, and develop analytics for meaningful insights.Work with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements.Return value to internal stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with COO for identification, scope and completion of I.T. projects.Perform business administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, etc).Assist in completion and compliance with PCI/SOC2 policies.Monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly.Monitor operational platforms for daily performance and undertake analytical assessment to suggest improvements, then complete improvements once approved.Monitor data-centre health using existing management tools, and respond to issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed.Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, IOT solutions, phones, security updates.Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups.Required skills and qualificationsProven success in an IT role.Experiencing in balancing competing tasks and performing to timelines.Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching.Experience in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing (specifically AWS).Experience with a variety of off-the-shelf products (Office 365 suite, SharePoint, Monday platforms, Manage Engine Service Desk Plus, AWS).Preferred skills and qualificationsBachelor's degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science.
