The Department of Diagnostic Radiology is looking for a Radiology Fellow to join their team. The appointee will provide clinical care under supervision and acquire additional skills and knowledge particularly in MRI, CT cross-sectional imaging, and image-guided procedures at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. The Radiology Department has one full-time fellowship available from mid-2025 with a range of subspecialties available as listed below. Candidates are asked to indicate their subspecialty of interest in their cover letter.
About the Role Provide ethical decision-making in the achievement of organisational goals.Learn the underlying principles and clinical application of MRI necessary to optimally prescribe, perform, and interpret MR images.Participate in daily MRI and other cross-sectional protocols, reporting and follow-up, clinical meetings, research projects, and teaching of registrars.On completion of the training, the Fellow is expected to have a thorough understanding of basic and advanced principles of their selected subspecialty and to participate in or complete at least one research project.Participate in the provision of an on-call roster to provide emergent Radiological services out-of-hours, at night, and on weekends.Participate in a consultative service to other medical staff.Participate in the preparation and presentation of Diagnostic Imaging meetings and Clinical meetings involving Diagnostic Imaging.Participate in the training of Radiology Registrars in Diagnostic Imaging.In accordance with award provisions, conference leave will be available.
